The MASS Clinical Prep Protocol

Your Phenotypic Age is highly sensitive. Even minor lifestyle deviations the day before a blood draw can artificially age your cells. Follow these strict clinical rules to ensure your baseline is 100% accurate.

1

24 to 48 Hours Before (The Build-Up)

  • No Strenuous Exercise: Avoid heavy lifting, intense cardio, or gym sessions for 24 hours prior. (Why: Intense exercise artificially spikes Creatinine and muscle/liver enzymes, making your organs look older than they are).
  • Zero Alcohol: Abstain from all alcohol for at least 24 to 48 hours. (Why: Alcohol causes immediate spikes in GGT and alters your triglyceride baseline).
  • Keep Your Diet Normal: Do not eat an unusually heavy, high-fat, or high-sugar meal the night before. Eat a standard, typical dinner.
2

The Fasting Window (10 to 12 Hours)

  • The 10-12 Hour Rule: Your fast must be strictly between 10 and 12 hours overnight. (Why: Fasting for too short affects glucose and lipids; fasting for too long puts the body into a stress state, altering metabolic markers).
  • Strictly Nothing but Water: Do not consume morning tea, black coffee, lemon water, and absolutely no supplements or vitamins on the morning of the test.
3

The Morning of the Test

  • Optimal Timing (8 AM - 10 AM): Schedule your blood draw in the morning. (Why: Biomarkers follow a circadian rhythm; afternoon tests will show different hormonal and White Blood Cell baselines).
  • Mandatory Hydration: Drink 1 to 2 glasses of plain, room-temperature water after waking up. (Why: Dehydration concentrates the blood, artificially raising Albumin and RBC counts. It also helps the phlebotomist easily find a vein).
4

At the Time of the Draw

  • The 15-Minute Rest Rule: Whether you are at a clinic or getting blood drawn at home, sit completely still and calm for 10 to 15 minutes before the needle goes in. (Why: Rushing, stress, or walking up stairs releases cortisol and adrenaline, which can instantly spike your White Blood Cell (WBC) count and Fasting Glucose).

⚠️ Crucial Upload Requirement

To prevent longitudinal data corruption, the Systantra Engine uses automated name-verification. The patient name on the final PDF lab report must exactly match the name on your Systantra account. Please ensure you provide your correct full name to the lab, as non-matching reports will be automatically rejected by the AI.
